The new Heart Center of Excellence includes a separate entrance; providing medical personnel, patients and their families easy access to a wide range of services from prevention, diagnosis and treatment.
The new facility consists of:
- Three cardiovascular surgical suites
- Two cardiac catheterization laboratories with state-of-the-art digital equipment for percutaneous coronary intervention
- A comprehensive electrophysiology lab for diagnosing and treating heart arrhythmias, including radiofrequency catheter ablation techniques
- Sixteen-bed cardiovascular intensive care unit (CVICU)
- Eight-bed coronary care unit (CCU)
- Thirty private bed progressive cardiac care unit (PCCU)
- An integrated preventative medicine, wellness and cardiac rehabilitation center located in the Medical Office Building
- Waiting rooms providing comfortable accommodations for patients and their families
