A Commitment to Caring

Making a Difference
Woman Volunteer Caring for Elderly PatientMaking a difference in someone's life is an integral component of volunteering at Coral Springs Medical Center, and your help as a volunteer is greatly needed and appreciated.

At Coral Springs Medical Center volunteers perform a great number of services every day, and in addition, volunteers are on hand to lend a helping hand, a cheerful smile, a pleasant word. Volunteers come from all walks of life and from a variety of different professions. Both men and women as well as teens make up the wonderful department of Volunteer Services.

About The Hospital
Our volunteers work together with the staff to deliver the highest quality of patient care available to both adults and children. The hospital consists of general medical surgical beds, maternity services, pediatrics, critical care units including Intensive and Cardiac Care and Neonatology. In addition, there is an outpatient pavilion and a community education/women's resource center.

Commitment to Caring
If you are interested in making a commitment to care for members of the community and to assist the employees of Coral Springs Medical Center in accomplishing their mission of delivering excellent patient care, then you should consider joining us.

Adult Volunteers
A minimum of four hours per week is required along with $10 per year dues for adult volunteers. As part of the organization, you will be entitled to awards for hours worked, social events at discounted prices or complimentary events, an annual appreciation luncheon, and a ticket for a free-cafeteria meal for every four hours worked. And, of course, you will have the gratification that comes along with helping others as you give of yourself to our patients and staff. Nothing can replace the hugs of a child who is fearful or the appreciation in the eyes of someone who is lonely, to say nothing of a staff member who would no know what to do without your help. Interested in volunteering? Call the Volunteer office at 954-344-3381 to schedule a first interview for placement. Do not mail dues or application.

Teen Volunteers
Teen volunteers must be a minimum of 15 years old. Because of the limited number of positions available and our commitment to the community, potential teen volunteers are required to either live in Coral Springs or attend school in Coral Springs. Teens are asked to contribute a minimum of 100 volunteer hours. NOTE: At this time, there are no available Teen Volunteer positions. Please check back soon.

On your first interview, please bring the completed application along with the Volunteer form, which is provided from your school office.

The entire recruiting process takes approximately two weeks and will require about three trips to the hospital.

Thank you for considering Coral Springs Medical Center. For more information and a personal interview, please call 954-344-3381.
