The Rehabilitation Department
Broward Health Imperial Point is well recognized for its orthopaedic services which serves a variety of patients from the amateur to the professional. Specialty programs include orthopaedic rehabilitation and total muscle joint rehabilitation designed to restore individuals to optimal functioning.
Broward Health Imperial Point is staffed with highly skilled licensed professionals including registered physical therapists, physical therapist assistants and speech therapists. Progress is assessed and modifications are made to assist in achieving your optimal function. The staff teaches you how to promote safe and independent function, prevent re-injury and encourage wellness.
Do you have neck or back pain? At Broward Health Imperial Point's Rehabilitation Department we have a certified practitioner in the McKenzie Method® which is a system of evaluation and treatment for spinal disorders. The emphasis of the McKenzie Method® is on active participation that involves teaching the patient how to manage and treat the pain themselves and how to prevent the pain from reoccurring. The McKenzie assessment can eliminate the need for expensive and/or invasive procedures. The therapist will teach the patient a series of individualized exercises and movement patterns in order to achieve this goal. Posture and the way a person moves is also addressed to reinforce an optimally successful outcome. This self-help treatment philosophy minimizes the number of patient visits to the clinic and gives the patient control over their symptoms. For further information on the McKenzie Method® call 954-776-8830 or email our therapist directly for questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
