Center for Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine

Broward Health Wound Care CenterWelcome to Broward Health Imperial Point's Center for Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine, where our compassionate doctors, nurses and healthcare providers work to help your stubborn wounds heal. Our highly-specialized team works together with state-of-the-art technology to provide you with the best care possible, ensuring the fastest, safest recovery from a non-healing wound, ulcer or injury.

The Center was a winner of the 2007 Clinical Excellence Award for outstanding clinical outcomes and customer service, presented by Diversified Clinical Services which has over 150 centers nationwide.

Applying an interdisciplinary approach, the Center's staff treats any non-healing wound. Plastic and vascular surgeons and physicians specializing in wound care comprise just part of this team.

Patients treated at the Center have wounds that are non-healing, such as diabetic ulcers, pressure ulcers, traumatic injuries, radiation injuries, and more. Non-healing wounds are usually treated with growth factors, vacuum-assisted closures and specialized dressings, and when indicated, hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

The use of hyperbaric medicine demonstrates cutting edge technology, working hand in hand with advanced wound care practices.

  • The Center has two Sechrist Model 4100 hyperbaric oxygen chambers which are the largest and most advanced monoplace chambers in the world. These hyperbaric chambers have a very generous 41 inch exterior with extended room to allow a patient to rest fully reclined, comfortable and anxiety-free.
  • It usually takes about 30-40 hyperbaric treatments to treat a hypoxic wound.

No physician referral is required. Call 954-776-8920 to schedule an appointment or for more information.
