The CyberKnife® System has been approved to treat tumors throughout the body including the brain, spine, lung, prostate, liver and pancreas. The CyberKnife® may be right for you if:

Unlike conventional stereotactic radiosurgical systems, the CyberKnife® uses image-guidance and computer controlled robotics to deliver multiple beams of high-energy radiation to the tumor from virtually any direction. The robotic arm-mounted radiation therapy system can be used to treat a number of cancers including the brain, prostate, lung, spine, pancreas, liver, head and neck, and others. NBC Cancer Special, "The best health interactive special we've ever done."

According to NBC's Account Manager Enid Bluestone, last Wednesday's Cancer Special was the best yet. Reports show there were 427 residents who called into the phone bank between the hours of 5 p.m. and 8 p.m -- the highest volume of any interactive special to date. The actual Cancer Special aired from 7:30 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. and highlighted our top cancer services and physicians. Stories like that of pediatric cancer survivor, Sophia Pouliot, and the technology spot about CyberKnife truly captivated the audience.

This special was excellent media coverage for Broward Health. Not only did it create brand awareness, but it really boosted our reputation as a world class healthcare system. Way to go Broward Health!
