Broward Health Appoints New Director Of Communications
Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – Broward Health is pleased to announce the appointment of Abigail Obre as director of corporate communications. In this role, she oversees all internal and external communications to help drive the health system’s strategic objectives.
“Over the past four years, Abi has proven to be an essential member of our team,” said Sara Howley Callari, vice president of marketing and communications at Broward Health. “She has been instrumental in the creation of critical partnerships and spearheaded several system-wide communications projects. This, combined with her hands-on healthcare experience, makes her a perfect fit as the director.”
Obre joined Broward Health in 2010 as a marketing and physician relations specialist at Broward Health Medical Center. In 2011, she became the regional marketing and physician relations manager at Broward Health Imperial Point. In 2013, she was brought in as the manager of communications at Broward Health’s corporate office.
Prior to joining Broward Health, she worked as an account executive at Mad 4 Marketing in Fort Lauderdale. Prior to moving to South Florida in 2008, Abigail was a post-production producer at Mad.House, Inc., an editorial company on Madison Avenue, NYC, where her clients included Pfizer and Bristol-Myers Squibb.
