Coral Springs Medical Center Appoints New Chief of Staff
First Female Chief for Broward Health
Coral Springs, FL – Coral Springs Medical Center (CSMC) announces the appointment of Carrie Greenspan, M.D., as chief of staff. Greenspan’s appointment marks a milestone for Broward Health as the first female physician to serve as chief of one of its four hospitals. Broward Health is the operational name of the North Broward Hospital District.
During her two-year term, Greenspan will take on the responsibilities of chairing the medical council meetings, handling quality issues with physicians, and working with CSMC’s administration to improve hospital facilities and services.
“I am pleased with this selection by our medical staff and look forward to working and collaborating with Dr. Greenspan while she holds her new position as chief of staff for the next two years,” said Patrick Maloney, CSMC’s CEO. “Her long-term dedication and leadership roles within our hospital make her the perfect selection.”
Board certified by both the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the National Board of Medical Examiners, Greenspan received her medical degree from Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago, Illinois. She completed her residency at Milton S. Hershey Medical Center – holding the position of chief resident and instructor her final year.
Greenspan’s previous leadership positions served at CSMC include: Vice Chief of Staff; Secretary-Treasurer; Chair – Department of OB/GYN; Vice-Chair – Department of OB/GYN; and past Chair – Patient Care Key Group. She also supports the hospital as a current member of the Women’s Center Advisory Council and the Perinatal Quality Committee. Dr. Greenspan is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, a credentialed Menopause Practitioner by the North American Menopause Society and a member of the Ft. Lauderdale OB/GYN Society.
