North Broward Medical Center Supports Alzheimer Association’s Memory Walk
Deerfield Beach, FL - Broward Health North Broward Medical Center was recently a proud sponsor of the Alzheimer’s Association’s 2009 Broward Memory Walk held on February 28 at Hollywood North Beach Park.
“We were honored to be part of such a tremendous event,” said Shelly Greenberg, Supervisor of North Broward Medical Center’s Memory Disorder Center. “The Memory Walk is always a great opportunity to get out into the community and raise awareness for an extremely worthy cause.”
This year’s Memory Walk brought in $87,660 in donations, which will be used to fund the Alzheimer Association’s 24-hour helpline and support services as well as education and public policy. The Memory Walk is the nation's largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer care, support and research. Since 1989, the Memory Walk has raised more than $230 million for Alzheimer’s research.
