Cheryl Tombo Appointed Director of Neurological Institute at North Broward Medical Center

Deerfield Beach, FL – Broward Health North Broward Medical Center has appointed Cheryl Tombo Director of its Neurological Institute.
As Director of the Neurological Institute, Tombo will oversee the operations of the Memory Disorder Center, Dizziness and Balance Center, Sleep Disorder Center, Neurodiagnostic Lab, Joint Commission Certified Primary Stroke Center and Joint Replacement Center.
Tombo, a Certified Neuroscience Registered Nurse, has spent the past 30 years working and teaching in the areas of neurological and neurosurgical nursing. Prior to joining North Broward Medical Center, she was the Stroke Program Coordinator at Holy Cross Hospital and worked as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in a private neurology practice in Ohio before moving to Florida. Tombo earned her Master's degree in Nursing from the University of Akron in Ohio and a post-master's certificate as an Adult Nurse Practitioner from Florida Atlantic University. She and her husband currently live in Pompano Beach.
