Patricia Rowe-King, MD, Named Chair of Pediatrics at the CECH
Ft. Lauderdale, FL, - Broward Health Chris Evert Children’s Hospital recently named pediatric hospitalist Patricia Rowe-King, M.D., chair of the department of pediatrics, succeeding Rudolph Roskos, M.D.
“Dr. Rowe-King is an experienced and skilled pediatrician,” said Dr. Roskos. “I am confident that her leadership skills and dedication to quality medical care will help her fulfill her duties as chair of the department of pediatrics in an outstanding way.”
After receiving her undergraduate degree from Boston University , Dr. Rowe-King earned her medical degree at the University of Miami School of Medicine. She completed her clinical training and residency at the University of Miami of ’s Jackson Memorial Hospital .
Dr. Rowe-King started her career as a private practice pediatrician at Suncoast Pediatrics in Fort Lauderdale where she stayed for six years before joining the staff at Chris Evert Children’s Hospital in 1997. In 2006, Dr. Rowe-King was named assistant medical director of Pediatrics at Chris Evert Children’s Hospital. She has also served as chair of the credentialing and qualifications committee at Broward General Medical Center and is an assistant clinical professor at Nova Southeastern University . Dr. Rowe-King is also medical director for a medical mission team in the Dominican Republic.
Dr. Rowe-King is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
