Monday, August 24, 2009 - Kilwin's Share a Scoop at Chris Evert Children's Hospital

Fort Lauderdale, FL - Patients at Broward Health Chris Evert Children’s Hospital (CECH) received a special treat from Kilwin’s Chocolates and Ice Cream when Russ Sibner, the general manager of Kilwin’s on Las Olas Boulevard in Fort Lauderdale visited last week.

Sibner and his two children, Cade, 8, and Seneca, 11, visited each floor of CECH offering the young patients chocolate and vanilla ice cream complete with toppings like sprinkles, nuts and candy.

“The sheer delight of our patients and their families was truly amazing,” said Alissa Diamond, CECH Child Life specialist. “No one was expecting such a great treat! We are so thankful that Kilwin’s was able to bring such happiness in the form of ice cream to our patients, even in such tough economic times.”

Sibner first visited CECH last March when we brought the patients chocolates and t-shirts. “After I had such a great experience last time, that I wanted to come back visit the kids,” he said.
