North Broward Medical Center CEO Honored at Spirit of the Caribbean Awards
Deerfield Beach, FL - Pauline Grant, CEO of Broward Health North Broward Medical Center, was recently honored at the 2009 Spirit of the Caribbean Awards. The annual celebration, hosted by Minority Development & Empowerment, Inc., pays tribute to those who go the extra mile to support the Caribbean population in South Florida.
“I’m touched to receive this recognition,” said Pauline. “As a native of Jamaica, I’m dedicated to making a positive impact on our Caribbean community both in my personal and professional life.”
Pauline received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica. She received her Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. Pauline serves on the board of several community organizations. She recently received the Milestone Award for Excellence in Healthcare from the Jamaican USA Chamber of Commerce, was named one of Modern Healthcare’s 2008 Top 25 Minority Executives in Healthcare and was the recipient of the March of Dimes 2006 Women of Distinction award.
Minority Development & Empowerment is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that has provided quality services, referrals and advocacy to the Caribbean immigrant population in Broward and Palm Beach Counties since 1996.
