Rockettes Visit Brings Holiday Cheer to Young Patients at the CECH
Ft. Lauderdale, FL - Visitors are always a welcome sight to the young patients at Chris Evert Children’s Hospital at Broward General Medical Center.
But on Monday, November 30th, Tiffany E. Whitaker and Megan Crichton, two dancers from the world-renowned Rockettes, surprised the children with an unforgettable appearance at the hospital. The two dancers spent time visiting with children in the pediatric unit and pediatric hematology/oncology unit, bringing presents and sharing stories to bring holiday cheer to the patients.
The Rockettes are currently promoting the Radio City Christmas Spectacular, which will be performed at the BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise on December 29 and 30. Impressive production numbers and extravagant costumes are part of the appeal, but the famous Rockettes, known for their high-kicking chorus line routine, are the main attraction.
Tara Keimel, a patient in the pediatric unit, was overwhelmed by the visit. A dancer herself, Tara was thrilled to have the opportunity to talk with the Rockettes. “It made may day,” Kemeil said, smiling.
