Coral Springs Medical Center’s Sleep Disorders Center Receives Accreditation
Coral Springs, FL - The Sleep Disorders Center at Coral Springs Medical Center (CSMC) has received accreditation by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine (AASM) becoming one of three accredited sleep disorders centers in Broward County.
“This is an important milestone in the continuing growth and success of our healthcare organization,” said Melissa Brooks, Clinical Coordinator of the Sleep Disorders Center. “Accreditation shows our commitment to providing the highest level of quality care to our patients. It signifies that we have met the rigorous standards of being nationally recognized for enhancing the awareness of sleep as an important element for health, public safety, and quality of life.”
Accredited for five years, the Sleep Disorders Center offers a comprehensive program using state-of-the-art equipment to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients 5-years-of-age and older for sleep disorders.
The AASM is the only professional society that is dedicated exclusively to the medical subspecialty of sleep medicine. As the leading voice in the field of sleep medicine, the AASM sets standards and promotes excellence in health care, education and research. Membership consists of more than 7,000 physicians, researchers and other health care professionals. These members specialize in studying, diagnosing and treating disorders of sleep and daytime alertness such as insomnia, narcolepsy, obstructive sleep apnea, and a variety of other sleep disorders.
