Tuesday, July 13, 2010 - North Broward Medical Center CEO to Serve on American Lung Association’s National Board of Directors

Deerfield Beach, FL - Pauline Grant, CEO of Broward Health North Broward Medical Center, was recently chosen to serve on the American Lung Association’s National Board of Directors.

As a member of the National Board of Directors, Grant will work closely with the American Lung Association’s president and CEO to further the mission of the organization by providing governance and oversight of the more than 100-year-old charity.

“As a well-respected healthcare executive, Grant brings a wealth of professional experience and personal passion to the Lung Association that will directly benefit those we serve,” said Charles D. Connor, President and CEO of the American Lung Association.

Grant has been a volunteer with the American Lung Association in Florida for many years, serving as the President-elect of the South Area Leadership Board.  On a charter level, she serves on the American Lung Association of the Southeast Board as a member of their Executive Committee and PBMS, Budget and Revenue Generation Committee.

“I am very pleased and honored to be part of a nationwide organization that is dedicated to improving the lung health of millions of Americans,” said Grant.

Grant received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees from the University of the West Indies, Jamaica.  She received her Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University in Florida. Pauline serves on the board of several community organizations. She recently received the Milestone Award for Excellence in Healthcare from the Jamaican USA Chamber of Commerce, was named one of Modern Healthcare’s 2008 Top 25 Minority Executives in Healthcare and was the recipient of the March of Dimes 2006 Women of Distinction award.
