Broward Health Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiologist Appointed to Highest Designation in His Field
Dr. Ahmed Osman elected as a fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society
Ft. Lauderdale, FL - Ahmed F. Osman, M.D., a clinical cardiac electrophysiologist for Broward Health, was recently elected as a fellow of the Heart Rhythm Society (HRS). This election places him among the most distinguished members in the esteemed professional Society.
Dr. Osman, a board certified cardiologist/electrophysiologist, has been on staff at Broward Health Broward General Medical Center and North Broward Medical Center since 2004 and maintains an active clinical practice as a founding member of the Florida Heart Rhythm Specialists. He is also involved in several electrophysiology clinical studies, and is board certified in nuclear cardiology and echocardiography. Fluent in English, Arabic, Spanish and French, Dr. Osman is the author of several peer-reviewed publications in his field and is a member of several national societies and the European Society of Cardiology.
Founded in 1979, the HRS is the international leader in science, education, and advocacy for professionals and patients, and the primary information resource on heart rhythm disorders. Dr. Osman earned his medical degree from Cairo University in Cairo, Egypt, and served his internship, including a cardiothoracic surgery internship, at Cairo University Hospitals and his internal medicine residency at Norwalk Hospital/Yale University in New Haven, Conn. Dr. Osman completed a Cardiology Fellowship at Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans and a Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship at the University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.
