Race for Women's Wellness Brings Free Mammograms to Needy Women on February 12
WHAT: Broward Health Coral Springs Medical Center (CSMC) prepares for its 6th Annual Race for Women’s Wellness. This is in support of raising funds for the Lisa Boccard Breast Cancer Fund which provides free mammograms, breast imaging and biopsies to women who otherwise would not be able to afford to get them. To date, the fund has provided more than 500 mammograms, 30 of which have been diagnosed with cancer.
WHO: The public is invited to lace up their sneakers for a 5k walk/run. Participants and their friends and family are also invited to attend the health expo portion of the event. This fun-filled morning will include a post race party with food, live entertainment, and an awards presentation.
WHEN: Saturday, February 12th /Run begins at 7 a.m.
COST: 5K Run/Walk
Two person team: $40

The Lisa Boccard Fund was created by Coral Springs Vice Mayor Vincent Boccard and his wife, Terry, to honor his sister, Lisa Boccard, and her ongoing fight against breast cancer.
