Broward Health's Frank Walters Elected VP of Certification Board of Directors
Fort Lauderdale, Fla. - Broward Health Director of Sports Medicine and Wellness Frank Walters, PhD, LAT, ATC, has been elected vice president of the Board of Certification, Inc. (BOC) Board of Directors. Walters’ term begins on Jan. 1, 2012.
"It is an honor to serve as vice president of BOC's Board of Directors,” Walters said. “The BOC is committed to protecting the public and advancing athletic training around the world. I look forward to contributing to BOC's important work."
Walters, a BOC certified athletic trainer since 1977, has a long history with BOC. He has been on the BOC Board of Directors since July 2009 and served as a BOC qualified examiner and model from 1991 to 2001. He was inducted into the National Athletic Trainers’ Association’s Hall of Fame on June 24, 2010.
The BOC, a national credentialing agency, has been certifying athletic trainers and identifying, for the public, quality health care professionals with certainty since 1969.
