Broward Health Providers Honored for Service in Community
Fort Lauderdale, Fla. - Broward Health Community Health Services (BHCHS) honored 44 primary care practitioners for their unwavering commitment and dedication to serving uninsured and underinsured in Broward County. A Provider Appreciation Day and Recognition, held on Tuesday, Jan. 17, showcased each practitioner who goes beyond the call of duty in an effort to practice powerful medicine.
“Today, as we recognize National Medical Group Week, Broward Health Community Health Services and its network of community- and school-based health centers, home health and hospice operations celebrate milestones of success achieved by our primary care practitioners. This is a day to show our gratitude and give thanks to a group of providers who play a pivotal role in the delivery of health care services to the community,” said Jasmin Shirley, vice president of Broward Health Community Health Services.
BHCHS is fully committed to Broward Health’s Five Star Values: encompassing exceptional service to our community, collaborative organizational team, fostering an innovative environment, accountability for positive outcomes and valuing our employee family.
“We value their time and talent invested, as well as their achievement in the field of medicine,” said Dr. John Berges, medical director of BHCHS. “Within our network of community- and school-based health centers, our community has access to quality care, plus value-added primary care practitioners.”
“This is a special moment for us,” said Community Services Coordinator Chico Arenas. “We are very supportive of these providers and excited to celebrate the achievements of those who continue to have such an impact on our community.”
