Barbara Noel, DO, board certified in obstetrics and gynecology (OB/GYN), provides general OB/GYN medical/surgical services with a special interest in laparoscopy, or minimally invasive surgery.
Dr. Noel received her medical degree from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury, New York. She completed an internship and residency in OB/GYN at the Maimonides Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York, and also an OB/GYN residency at the Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip, New York. During her postgraduate training, Dr. Noel received the Teacher of the Year Award for student physician clerkships and served as Administrative Chief Resident of her residency program.
Previous to practicing medicine in Fort Lauderdale, Dr. Noel served as an attending OB/GYN physician at the Ryan Health Center, affiliated with St. Luke's – Roosevelt Hospital, the teaching institution of the Columbia College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City, New York.
She is an active member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American Medical Association and the American Osteopathic Association.
Fluent in English, French Creole, French and basic Spanish, Dr. Noel is active in women's health education, presenting workshops on cervical and breast cancer screening and prevention. She has also served as a volunteer to the World Medical Mission in Les Cayes, Haiti; the Vellore Christian Medical College in Vellore, India; and the Pediatric Hospice Pere Damien in Petionville, Haiti.
