Thursday, June 11, 2009 - North Broward Medical Center Honors Cancer Survivors

Deerfield Beach, FL - In celebration of National Cancer Survivor Month, Broward Health North Broward Medical Center hosted a day at the ballpark for cancer survivors and their families at the Florida Marlins game on June 7th.  Tickets were generously donated by the Florida Marlins and a bus was provided by the Broward Health Foundation to take everyone to and from the game.

“We are so used to seeing these patients in a hospital setting,” said Debbie Maguire, Manager of the Cancer Center at North Broward Medical Center. “This was a great opportunity to celebrate these courageous individuals in a fun, carefree environment.”
