Wednesday, May 18, 2011 - Broward Health Coral Springs Medical Center’s Hyperbaric & Wound Care Center Names Co-Medical Directors

Coral Springs, FL - Broward Health Coral Springs Medical Center is pleased to announce Dr. Juan O. Bravo and Dr. Brian D. Sigal as the two Co-Medical Directors for the Center for Wound Care & Hyperbaric Medicine.

“We are excited to appoint two wound care professionals of this caliber to our already outstanding team,” said Drew Grossman, CEO of Coral Springs Medical Center. “I am confident that with their expertise they will complement the quality care already provided at the hospital and Center while in turn positively impacting the health of our community.”

Dr. Bravo is Board Certified in Undersea and Hyperbaric Medicine and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Family Practice. He is an acknowledged expert in his field and frequently speaks at medical conferences involving wound care and hyperbaric medicine. Likewise, Dr. Sigal is Certified by the American Academy of Wound Management and is a Diplomat of the American Board of Podiatry Surgery.  He is an accomplished expert and has participated in numerous research projects investigating new treatments for leg ulcers.

Both physicians are certified wound specialists who have worked at the Center for Wound Care & Hyperbaric medicine at Coral Springs Medical Center since 2007 where they have contributed to the Center’s award winning recognition—the “Center of Distinction Award.” This honor was awarded for excellence in healing outcomes (98% healing rate), and high patient satisfaction score (97%). In addition the Center’s multidisciplinary team of podiatrists, family medicine and surgeons make for a well versed team of professionals with an end result of outstanding clinical performances.
