Teens with Cancer Glam Up For Their Prom
Chris Evert Children's Hospital hosted a pre-prom party for its teen cancer patients Friday, with more than a dozen hair and make-up artists on hand to help glam them up for the night. Doctors Take Their Tablets to Work
Broward Health recently launched a "bring your own device" program at Broward Health Imperial Point. The program invites doctors to bring their laptops or tablets into the hospital to enroll and encrypt them for use at the hospital or wherever they may want to update their patient orders or see records online. The Southern Florida and Puerto Rico Chapter of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society has announced that the co-chairs and candidates have been selected for the 2013 Man & Woman of the Year campaign in Fort Lauderdale. Broward Health Medical Center’s Ron Brandenburg is one of the 15 candidates selected. Gov. Rick Scott to Veto Tuition Hike
Gov. Rick Scott on Monday will veto a three percent increase in Florida college tuition and approve $65 million in extra Medicaid funding to hospitals that provide much of the care to the poor, including Broward Health in Fort Lauderdale.
