Broward Health North has appointed Dr. Steven E. Naide Medical Director of Orthopaedic Trauma.

Dr. Naide has been on staff at Broward Health North since November 1999 and is a member of the Medical Surgical Review Committee. As Medical Director of Orthopaedic Trauma, he will serve as chief clinical/technical resource in matters pertaining to orthopaedic trauma as well as implement and monitor appropriate patient diagnostic and therapeutic measures, consult with other clinical professionals to assure a multi-disciplinary plan of care for each patient, perform quality management activities and provide community/professional education opportunities.

A board certified orthopedic surgeon at East Coast Orthopaedics, Dr. Naide specializes in total joint replacement, arthroscopic knee and shoulder surgery and trauma surgery. He received his undergraduate degree from LaSalle University before earning his medical degree and completing his residency at Hahnemann University in Philadelphia, PA. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, Florida Orthopaedic Society, Broward County Orthopaedic Society and Broward County Athletic Association.

Dr. Naide is part of an exclusive group of South Florida surgeons specializing in anterior hip replacement, an innovative new approach to hip replacement surgery where no muscles are cut, resulting in less pain, no post-op restrictions and a quicker recovery.
