Dr. Puglisi was born in Baltimore. He attended Loyola College in Baltimore for his undergraduate education and completed his medical education at the University of Maryland Medical School. He completed 5 years of general surgery training and one year of research at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey. He subsequently completed two years of Pediatric Surgery training at Miami Children's Hospital. He is a member of the AOA Medical Honor Society and is Board Certified by the American Board of Surgery.
