Pamela M. Sutton, MD, specializes in Palliative Medicine and has a Certificate of Added Qualification in Hospice and Palliative Medicine from the American Board of Family Medicine. She holds hospital privileges at Broward Health Medical Center, Broward Health North, Broward Health Coral Springs and Broward Health Imperial Point.
Dr. Sutton received her medical degree from the University of California at San Francisco in San Francisco, California. Dr. Sutton completed a Residency in Family Medicine at the University of Rochester in Rochester, New York. She later received a Diploma in Hygiene and Tropical Medicine from the University of London in London, England. Dr Sutton has also worked as consultant to the World Health Organization teaching Palliative Medicine in developing countries.
Dr. Sutton is the director of the Broward Health Barbara Ziegler Palliative Care Services, interim director of the Barbara Ziegler Palliative Medicine Fellowship and a hospice physician with Gold Coast Hospice.
Dr. Sutton is a Fellow of the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Medicine and a member of the International Association for Hospice and Palliative Care. In addition, Dr. Sutton is Clinical Associate Professor with Nova Southeastern School of Osteopathic Medicine/Broward Health, Dept of Family Medicine, teaching for the Barbara Ziegler Palliative Medicine Fellowship.
