Ricardo Vicuna MD, FACC, FASE, is a board certified cardiologist
specializing in Interventional Cardiology and Cardiovascular Imaging at Broward Health Medical Center.
He received his medical degree from Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, Peru, and speaks three languages, English, Spanish and Italian. In addition, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowships in Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Dr. Vicuna also broadened his cardiology training in Cardiac MRI and Coronary CT Angiography while at William Beaumont Hospital in Detroit Michigan. After his training was completed, he worked as a Cardiologist in Aurora Bay Care Medical Center in Green Bay Wisconsin, and served different community hospitals in the northeast Wisconsin area. Dr. Vicuna is board certified in Comprehensive Echocardiography and Nuclear Cardiology, and is an active member of the American College of Cardiology, the American Society of Echocardiography, the Society of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography and the Society of Cardiovascular MRI.
