Rubens Sievert, M.D., is an endocrinologist at Broward Health North who specializes in adult diabetes management including insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring systems, thyroid diseases offering thyroid ultrasound and biopsies in his office, and parathyroid disorders. Prior to joining Broward Health, Dr. Sievert was an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at Stony Brook School of Medicine and Director of Diabetes at Winthrop University Hospital in Long Island, New York.

He obtained is medical degree at Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina in Brazil. He did his internal medicine training at The Long Island College Hospital in Brooklyn, New York and fellowship in endocrinology and diabetes at Montefiore Medical Center in the Bronx, New York.

In addition to his work as a teacher and clinician, Dr. Sievert was principal investigator in numerous clinical trials at the Winthrop Clinical Trials Center.

Dr. Sievert is a member of The Endocrine Society and the American Diabetes Association. He has also co-authored several professional medical journals articles.
