Dr. Ishaq completed her Residency in Internal Medicine at the State University of New York Health Science Center Brooklyn in Brooklyn, New York. She completed her fellowship in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism at Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center Shreveport in Shreveport, Louisiana.

Dr. Ishaq is certified in Internal Medicine, Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She is also certified in advanced cardiac life support.

Dr. Ishaq was affiliated with Advanced Care Medical Center in Detroit, MI; Chippewa Medical Associates in Sault Saint Marie, MI; and Overton Brooks VA Medical Center in Shreveport, LA; before joining Broward Health.
