Alberto Vega is a board certified Physician in Family Medicine at Broward Health Medical Center.
Dr. Vega completed a residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in the Family Medicine Residency Program where he also served as Assistant Chief Resident and was awarded for his “Outstanding Dedication and Commitment to Excellence as Assistant Chief Resident” in addition to the “Society of Teachers of Family Medicine” and “Women’s Health and Obstetrics”.
Prior to his residency, Dr. Vega served as an intern in the Kidney/Pancreas Transplant Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
He was an Attending Physician at the Cuban Health Program in Venezuela, providing medical attention as a Primary Care Physician, focusing on the promotion of health and the prevention of diseases.
Dr. Vega served as an Attending Physician at several hospitals in Cuba during his career. He also completed a residency in Internal Medicine in Havana Cuba
He received his Medical Degree from the Superior Institute of Medical Sciences in 1987 in Havana Cuba.
Dr. Vega resides in Miami Beach with his wife Janine Sylvestre Vega.
