Ted Carson, MD is board certified with the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery. He received his undergraduate degree from Depauw University in Greencastle, Indiana before earning his medical degree from Indiana University School of Medicine. He completed his general surgery residency at University of Florida Medical Center as well as a fellowship in cardiovascular surgery from both the Medical School of Wisconsin and the Texas Heart Institute and a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine.

Dr. Carson has held several teaching positions in both Florida and North Carolina and is a member of several professional organizations, including the American College of Cardiology, International College of Surgeons and the Florida Society of Thoracic and Cardiovascular Surgeons.
