Profile
Violet McCormack, M.D., is the medical director for cardiac catheterization laboratories and interventional cardiology, at The Heart Center of Excellence, and medical director of the Women’s Heart Program, The Heart Center of Excellence. She is in private practice with Broward Heart Specialists.
Dr. McCormack received a bachelors’ degree from New York University and her medical degree from the University of Edward Kardelj School of Medicine in Yugoslavia.
She completed her residency at Southern Nevada Memorial Hospital - University Medical Center in Las Vegas, where she was internal medicine chief resident. She also served a fellowship in cardiology at University Medical Center and a third year fellowship in cardiology at University of Miami -Jackson Memorial Medical Center in Miami.
Dr. McCormack is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American College of Physicians and Women Physicians of South Florida. She is board certified in internal medicine and cardiovascular disease.
She has served as assistant professor of medicine at the University of Miami School of Medicine and a as clinical instructor at the the University of Nevada School of Medicine in Las Vegas. Dr. McCormack has also been published in scientific journals.
