Broward County’s Only Day Camp for Diabetic Kids

WHAT: You have to be pretty special to come to Camp KoralKids, Broward County’s only camp for diabetic kids.  Organized by Coral Springs Medical Center, kids will enjoy a full range of camp activities and day trips, plus insulin management, glucose monitoring and nutritional guidance under the direction of specialized medical staff.

WHO: Children ages 5 ½ –11 years old

WHERE: Parkside Elementary in Coral Springs  

WHEN: June 14-June 25, 2010
9:00a.m to 4:00p.m

COST: $400 (Camp scholarships are available based on economic need)
Cost includes morning and afternoon snacks, field trips and most diabetic supplies. Campers are responsible for bringing lunch, and the following diabetic supplies: meters, lancets, strips and own pump supplies.
