Description

The event will offer homeless individuals and homeless veterans assistance accessing services and benefits with local, state, private agencies, veteran organizations and medical screenings. Coordinated efforts will include providing secured housing, nutritional meals, basic physical healthcare, substance abuse care and aftercare, mental health counseling, personal development and empowerment. Additionally, as we work to enhance our services to the homeless, we believe that basic services such as haircuts, showers, information on training program and other collaborative services provided at the events, give homeless participants a greater sense of dignity, enhance their appearance at job interviews and provide a vehicle to help many of them reintegrate into society. This project will also assist Broward County in its efforts to help its residents who are homeless.
