Piney Grove Baptist Church hosted a National Womens and Girls HIV/AIDS Awareness Day event to build additional awareness within the community about HIV infection rates. This event was designed to make women and girls aware of the risk factors associated with HIV infection plus we shred various treatment options that are available from Broward Health. Confidential HIV testing and pre/post test counseling were offered to attendees, with BH performing 25 HIV tests. In addition, Comprehensive Care Center and the CHS Mobile Health Center were positioned as access points for linkage into care.
