The City of Fort Lauderdale Parks and Recreation Department hosted a Breast Cancer Awareness Line Dancing Exhibition at Carter Park, to build additional awareness among women of color that a need exist for them to obtain mammograms and conduct self examinations using the triple touch method. BHCHS Outreach Services was on hand to inform local residents of access points for diagnostic services available in the community from Broward Health. In addition, we shred collateral material on our network of community health centers, located in close proximity to their neighborhoods.
