MODCO and Mount Nebo Baptist Church held a presentation on the role of The Center for Independent Living plays among seniors who are seeking to age in place. This event highlighted the environmental modifications made in the homes of seniors to help them prevent trips and falls plus other traumatic injuries which could impair one's function and movement within their homes. Broward Health social workers often provide linkage to this type of service which is free of charge to local residents who qualify for the program.
