BHCHS Outreach Services and MODCO Senior Connection co-hosted a presentation featuring Florida Power and Light and their influence on maintaining a safe and healthy environment within the residences of seniors in Broward County. FPL explained how to effectively manage the high cost associated with maintaining a homestead and ways to minimize energy consumption among seniors on a fixed income. This wrap around service allows some seniors to qualify for offsetting of their energy cost through grant sources.
