CHS Outreach Services coordinated and facilitated a hurricane preparedness talk for seniors who required additional information and education on effective ways to prepare for a hurricane. Chief Mark Miller and Captain Lesly St. Fleur conducted a special workshop to keep seniors and their families safe in case a hurricane were to directly or indirectly strike South Florida. This event was held at a faith-based center in central Fort Lauderdale, to make seniors aware of the wrap around services available for local governmental entities, providing life safety advice and guidance in Broward County's urban corridor.
