MODCO Senior Connection Practicing Yoga for Healthy Lifestyle Maitenance
MODCO Senior Connection held a workshop on the practice of yoga to help seniors learn techniques on how yoga and breathing exercises can reduce stress in the body. Many chronic illnesses are aggravated by stress responses; whereby, yoga can be used to alleviate stress in one's life. This practice will allow one to bring themselves in balance with their body's internal mechanisms that influence flight or fight response to external and internal factors. BHCHS introduced content pertinent toward helping seniors manage and cope with stress on a daily basis.
