Sickle Cell Presentation for Seniors
Description
Roosevelt Gardens Community Center held a senior-focused lecture on sickle cell disease and its effects on individuals who are influenced by the disease. In addition, The Sickle Cell Association of Broward County conveyed a message on what the public can do to increase awareness concerning sickle cell disease and various options readily available to treat this chronic illness. BHMC and Cora E Braynon Family Health Center were positioned as access points for tertiary and primary care, pertaining to people afflicted with the disease.
