Monday Feb. 10, 2020
Danish Sheikh, DO, FACC

Current role and description of work: I am board-certified in cardiology and nuclear medicine. I treat patients with cardiovascular diseases in both inpatient and outpatient settings.

Previous roles at Broward Health and elsewhere: My first role out of fellowship was at Broward Health North, where I am currently in my third year of treating patients.

Educational background: I received my doctor of osteopathy at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed my residency in internal medicine at Largo Medical Center in Largo, Florida where I served as Chief Resident. In addition, I served as chief cardiology fellow at Broward Health Medical Center where I completed my cardiology fellowship.

Professional Memberships: I am a fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American Osteopathic Association and the American College of Osteopathic Internists.

Favorite part of working in cardiac services: I have always had a passion for cardiology for as long as I could remember. Everyone’s got family history of heart disease. It is the most common killer of men and women in the United States, so I’ve always had an interest in figuring out things and trying to help people.

Fun facts: I’m a movie buff, and I like to cook and travel. I am in fluent in Speaks English, Hindi, Spanish and Urdu.
