Fort Lauderdale, Florida -- Ashley Boxer has joined Broward Health as the healthcare system's vice president of external affairs. She is responsible for the strategic leadership and oversight of government relations and public affairs for the healthcare system, as well business operations at Children's Diagnostic & Treatment Center.
In her role, Boxer develops, implements and executes Broward Health’s public policy initiatives and its legislative affairs on healthcare policies and issues. This includes community engagement for Children’s Diagnostic & Treatment Center.

Boxer most recently served as the assistant city manager of Fort Lauderdale. Previously, she worked as director of government affairs at Maxim Healthcare, corporate director of government relations at Memorial Healthcare System and corporate manager of government and community relations for Baptist Health South Florida.
Boxer earned her bachelor’s degree in telecommunication news from the University of Florida and her Master of Business Administration from Nova Southeastern University.
