Falls AwardDeerfield Beach, Florida -- The Florida Hospital Association (FHA) has awarded Broward Health North its FHA Mission to Care Falls Champion Award. The honor is for hospitals with zero falls with injury in the past 12 months, and notable successes in improving quality and patient safety.

"Broward Health North is very proud of this recognition," said Broward Health North CEO Alice Taylor. "Our dedicated and expertly trained caregivers make the safety and well-being of our patients a priority. We are excited to be honored for their tremendous work."

The FHA presented Broward Health North with the special recognition on Oct. 24, 2019, at the association’s Celebration of Achievement in Quality and Service Awards dinner held during its annual meeting in Orlando.

A leader and champion of patient safety, Broward Health North Nurse Manager Tryce Cabaj accepted the award on behalf of Broward Health North clinical experts and team.

“We are honored to be nationally recognized for our efforts,” Cabaj said. “Safe, patient-centered care is our top priority.”
