Fort Lauderdale, Florida -- The North Broward Hospital District Board of Commissioners has named Brian Kozik the Chief Compliance Officer of Broward Health. Kozik, who started April 1, 2019, will provide strategic leadership and oversight of all compliance programs. He will also collaborate with corporate and regional leadership, management and medical staff to promote an awareness, understanding and culture of positive, ethical and moral principles.

Prior to joining Broward Health, Kozik served as chief compliance officer at Lawrence General Hospital in Lawrence, Massachusetts, where he created a strategic vision for the hospital’s compliance program and executed it at the Board of Trustee level and throughout the entire organization, emphasizing proactive education, communication, collaboration and a shared responsibility for the success of the program. He also served as executive systems director – compliance and privacy officer at Steward Health Care System in Boston, Massachusetts, where he provided supervision and oversight of the hospital system's compliance program.

Kozik holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Merrimack College in North Andover, Massachusetts, as well as a Certificate of Accountancy from Bentley University in Waltham, Massachusetts.
