FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla -- Broward Health has appointed Eileen O'Brien, SPHR, SHRM-SCP as its new associate vice president of talent acquisition. As a part of the corporate team, O'Brien will provide leadership and support through planning and direction of all employment and staffing functions at Broward Health. She will also have direct oversight of talent acquisition for Broward Health Medical Center and Broward Health Coral Springs, and will oversee all temporary contracting involving staffing for the system.
“As chief human resources officer of Broward Health Coral Springs for the last five years, Eileen has continually demonstrated an ability to attract and manage exceptional candidates,” said Beverly Capasso, president and CEO of Broward Health. “We look forward to further benefiting from her talents system-wide.”
O’Brien has been in human resources management for 22 years, and most recently held the position of chief human resources officer for Broward Health Coral Springs since 2013. O’Brien’s experience also includes 10 years at LifeCare Management Services as the regional director of human resources of the long-term acute care company, where she directed human resources for 10 hospitals across multiple states. She served as vice president of human resources at Global Health Education, and corporate director of human resources for the financial firm U.S. Global Investors, Inc.
O’Brien has a Bachelor of Science in health care administration from Texas State University, and earned a Human Resources Management Certificate from the University of Texas at Austin. Additionally, she is a certified Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and is a Society for Human Resources Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).
