BROWARD HEALTH APPOINTS NEW CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

FORT LAUDERDALE -- Broward Health has announced the appointment of Alan D. Goldsmith CPA, MBA to Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective August 15. He will oversee the financial and accounting operations of the Broward Health system, and will be responsible for the administration, development, and implementation of system-wide financial plans, policies and programs that support the overall fiscal success of the organization.

Goldsmith brings with him valuable public health experience, having most recently served as chief financial officer at Jackson North Hospital for the past three years. He has also held the position of director of finance and CFO at Jackson Memorial Hospital and Physicians Services in Miami.

As a certified public accountant, Goldsmith has more than 10 years of experience handling the accounting and finances of medical institutions in various capacities across South Florida, including North Shore Medical Center, Hialeah Hospital, Good Samaritan Medical Center, and Holy Cross Hospital.

Goldsmith has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Central Florida and an MBA from Nova Southeastern University; and is a certified public accountant.
