Cari Petrie's passion for physical therapy began when she was a college student.
Meet Cari
Name: Cari Petrie, Senior Physical Therapist for the Joint Replacement Center at Broward Health Medical Center
Years at Broward Health: 28
Why I chose physical therapy as a career path: I went to college at Northeastern University on a swimming scholarship and learned about PT from fellow swimmer. The university had a great program so I decided to go into PT.
What motivates me to come to work each day: I always treat patients the way I would want to be treated or the way I would want my family to be treated. Everyone is a VIP
My favorite Broward Health moment: Love hanging with coworkers for department parties and birthdays, we enjoy playing funny pranks on each other.
How I like to relax: Hanging out with my family, going to concerts, mini-weekend getaways
What I’m most proud of personally or professionally: I am very proud of my 14-year-old son, a gifted student and athlete and a great kid.
What’s on my music playlist: Old Dominion, Kane Brown, Counting Crows, country, pop-rock
If I could have dinner with anyone in the world, alive or dead, it would be: I've never really thought about it, but probably Jesus Christ. That would be amazing
