Coral Springs, Fla.- Broward Health Coral Springs (formally known as Coral Springs Medical Center) opened its doors in March of 1987 as the first and presently the only hospital in the City of Coral Springs. It inaugurated its maternity department with the birth of the first baby girl on April 2nd 1987. Today this baby girl is 29 years old and gave birth to her first baby at the very same hospital where she was born. And it’s a GIRL too!
“I could have given birth elsewhere but I didn’t want to,” said the new mother Tamara Replogle (maiden name Tamara Argov) who still lives in Coral Springs. “Broward Health Coral Springs is our special connection and how cool is it to come full circle and give my daughter the same beginning here. It is special!”
As Broward Health Coral Springs(BHCS) approaches its 30 year birthday, second generation BHCS babies have already trickled in. But what makes Tamara’s story unique is that she made headlines 29 years ago for being the first baby girl at the new hospital.
Today Tamara is a Psychotherapist and married to her college sweetheart for the past four years. She is the oldest of four siblings and her parents still reside in Coral Springs as well.
