Gina Mulkins loves to learn something new every day in her new role as emergency preparedness coordinator.
Meet Gina
Name: Gina Mulkins, RN
Years at Broward Health: I have worked with Broward Health since 1990. I started my position as a nursing assistant for 9 months. I then graduated and received my LPN license and worked on 5ST unit (orthopedics, trauma, and telemetry) for 14 years as an LPN. While working on 5ST, I went back to school, to obtain my RN license. Afterwards, I decided I needed a challenge. So I transferred to the trauma ICU and worked on the unit for 13 year. Currently, I'm in a new position as an emergency preparedness coordinator assigned to Broward Health Coral Springs and Broward Health North.
What motivates me to come to work each day:Gaining knowledge.
My favorite Broward Health moment:Learning something new everyday
Some advice I'd give to a new employee just starting their career in healthcare: The recommendation I would like to provide to a new employee is to gain as much knowledge as you can and take pride in your work. The last but most important advice I would offer is take time to relax and enjoy life.
How I like to relax: Getting a massage
What I’m most proud of personally or professionally: I'm most proud of my children
What’s on my music playlist: A little mix of everything
If I could have dinner with anyone in the world, alive or dead, it would be: My family because I love them
